Emilia Cruz

Emilia Cruz, 70, entered eternal rest on Friday, July 19, 2024 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She is born on a Tuesday, February 9, 1954 in San Jose, Tepetate, Veracruz, Mexico to Pablo Cruz and Gonzala Gaspar Cruz. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son; Javier Cruz.

Emilia is survived by her loving husband; Elpidio Cruz, her loving children; Mary (Enrique) Cavazos, Jose Elpidio (Adriana) Cruz, Jose Arturo Cruz, Evelyn (Raaveesh) Bally, Gladie Cruz, Jose Francisco (Amie) Cruz and Bonnie (Leonel Garcia) Cruz, 25 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Emilia was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed sewing arts and crafts. She loved to cook and especially make tamales. A favorite pastime of hers was to read the bible. But her greatest joy was taking take care of & loving her family. She will be missed by family, friends and by all those whose lives she touched.

The Cruz Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
