David G. Gonzalez

David G. Gonzalez, 79, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Wednesday, November 14.1945 in Alamo, Texas to Daniel Gonzales and Aristea Gaona Gonzales. David is preceded in death by his parents, son; David Gonzales, Jr. and brother in law; Pablo Alaniz.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years; Idalia Gonzales, children; Bobby Gonzales, Monica Gonzalez and Myda Perez, brothers; Juvel (Rafaela) Fernandez, Jr., Octavio (Sylvia) Fernandez and Eduardo (Melissa) Fernandez, sister; Flor Alaniz, 7 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

David was a proud soldier who served the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a hard working most recently spent 5 years working as a security officer with UPS. He loved his family, being a devoted grandfather also known as “Popo” to just his grandchildren and he loved spending time with his entire family. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

No services have been scheduled at this time for Mr. Gonzalez. However funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
