Cesar "El Tigre" Lozano, 69, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on a Wednesday, March 11, 1953 in China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Bonifacio Lozano and Guadalupe Molina. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Cesar Lozano, Jr., brother; Victor Lozano and sister; Berta Lozano.
He is survived by his wife; Irma H. Lozano, children; Eloy (Monica) Lozano, Ruby L. (Noie) Hesbrook, Tito Flores, Izak Lozano, twins; Makayla and Katelyn Lozano, siblings; Bonifacio Lozano, Jr., Daniel (Irma) Lozano, Israel (Erika) Lozano, Martin (Claudia) Lozano, Rene (Aracely) Lozano, Alma (Ambrosio) Garcia, Maria Victoria (Jose) Hernandez, Blanca Patricia (Miguel) Munoz, Guadalupe Lorena Lozano and Nancy (Ramiro) Hernandez, grandchildren; Emmily Hesbrook, Eloy Lozano, Jr., Kara Hesbrook, Natalie Hesbrook and Mariah Lozano, numerous nieces and nephews.
Cesar lived in Edinburg most of his life and enjoyed farming, ranching, listening to corridos and had a passion for racing horses for many years. He also enjoyed bar-b-quing and eating cabrito. His greatest joy was spending time at the ranch with his granddaughters; Emmily, Kara and Natalie. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Tito for the care and attention given to Cesar during his illness and also show their heartfelt gratitude to DHR Cancer Center: Dr. Jose Cruz and Staff, Telemetry Unit - Dr. Mendoza, Dr. Flores, Dr. Bocanegra, Wendy Salinas, R.N., Jay R.N., Denise Garza, N.P. and everyone who helped make a difference in the quality of life.
The Lozano family received friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Rosary prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow at Val-Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6200 Val Verde Road in Donna, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Eloy Lozano, Tito Flores, Izak Lozano, Noie Hesbrook, Martin Lozano and Joshua Lozano. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
