Carmelita Leal, 89, entered eternal rest on September 29, 2010 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. She was born on July 16, 1921 in Calallen, Texas to Nasario Leal and Seferina Luera.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Nicolas Leal, Hilario Leal, sisters; Maria Vela, Eluteria Martinez, Catalina Lara and Ester Garcia.
Carmelita is survived by her son; Domingo (Thelma) Cantu, daughters; Petra (Rodolfo) Pena, Aida (Reginaldo) De Luna, Evelia Pena, 12 Grandchildren, 30 Great- Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.
Visitation for Carmelita will be Thursday, September 30, 2010 and Friday, October 1, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinbug with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Christian services will be Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg
