Candido "Cande" Salas, Sr., 90, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on Saturday, October 3, 1925 in Rosebud, Texas to Teofilo Salas and Irinea Nino Salas. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Elena Gomez Salas, grandson; Jorge Perez, brothers; Jesus Salas, Ramon Salas and Eugenio Salas, and sister; Blasa Salas.
Left to cherish his memories are his children; Gerardo (Theresa) Salas, Andres Salas, Benjamin (Lucia) Salas, Candido (Enriqueta) Salas, Jr., Ricardo Salas, Saul Salas, Ana (Gilberto) Munoz, Irene (Emilio) Perez, Estella (Jose) Garza, Emma (Jose) Arrendondo, and San Juana Salas, 37 - grandchildren, 50 - great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
His family received friends today, Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church,1302 East Champion Street in Edinburg. Burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
