Bertha Rendon, 89, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on September 13, 1922 in La Noria Cadenena Ranch, Texas to Felipe Rendon and Manuela Calvillo Rendon. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Manuel, Felipe, Eugenio, Tomas, and Alfonso Rendon, Juan, Guillermo, and Jesus Garcia, and sister; Safira C. Garcia.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law; Lydia, Angelita, and Odilia Rendon, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered for her loving and caring ways with her nieces and nephews. She was a very independent and strong willed person who enjoyed spending time with her family.
The family received friends on Thursday, August 09, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and a rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be held today, August 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
