Asencion Garza

Asencion Garza, 87, entered eternal rest on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Colonial Manor Advanced Rehabiliation and Healthcare in Pharr, Texas. She was born on a Tuesday, March 21, 1939 in McAllen, Texas to Enrique Gonzalez and Esmerjilda Perez Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Noe Garza, Sr., son; Noe (Patricia) Garza, Jr., grandson; Eduardo Casarez, III, daughter in law; Yolanda Garza, sister; Albesa Garza and brother; Jose Gonzalez.

She is survived by her loving children; David Garza, Enrique “Kike” Garza, Anabel (Eduardo, Jr.) Casarez and Roberto Garza, sisters; Evangelina De La Rosa, Eva Garcia, Esperanza Laurel, Maria Elva Gonzalez, Olivia Garcia, Anita Laurel and Gloria Salinas, 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ascencion was a loving, caring and faithful woman who attended mass as regularly as she could. She was a woman who loved life and taking care of her family, spending time with her entire family especially her children. She will be missed dearly by all those whose lives she touched.

The Garza family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion Street in Edinburg. Inurnment of ashes to take place on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
