Angelita G. Casanova

Angelita G. Gamboa, 86, entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Tuesday, June 1, 1937 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose Angel Gamboa and Esther Marmolejo Gamboa. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 42 years; Enrique Casanova, daughter; Estela Jimenez, son; Fernando Casanova, grandsons; Edward Sanchez and Byron Casanova, brothers; Felipe Gamboa, Moises Gamboa, Nasario Gamboa and Jose Raul Gamboa.
She is survived by her loving childen; Blas (Mary) Casanova, Dahlia Casanova, Ester Cavanova, Elizabeth Casanova, Yolanda (Jose Cedillo) Santos, Martina (Domingo Madrigal) Casanova and Bertha Casanova, brother; Robert Gamboa, sisters; Janie (Larry) Williams and Domifilda Fields, daughther in law; Linda Guerra, 28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 11 great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Angelita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed taking care of not only her family but of others, as she was a Nurse at Edinburg General Hospital in Edinburg, Texas for many years. In her free time she enjoyed reading her bible, attending church and listening to Christian music and enjoyed such as hobbies as gardening, arts and crafts and looking after her fur babies, her cats. Angelita will be greatly missed by all those who lives she touched.
The Garza Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 for a viewing from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Services will conclude after the viewing for Mrs. Casanova. Graveside inurnment will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the services of Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff in Edinburg.
