Adolfo “Mano De Fiero” Lara, 91, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 19, 2014 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born in Mexico on March 17, 1923 to Justo Lara and Dolores Contreras Lara. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Luis Lara; sisters; Josefina Lara, Amelia Lara, and Elvira Lara.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 45 years, Juana “Juanita” Lara; sons, Rogerio Lara and Rafael Lara; grandchildren, Joshua Ethan Lara, D’Andra Reina Lara, and Gabriel Nicolas Lara.

Adolfo Lara lived in Edinburg most of his life. He was a hardworking man who was affectionately known as “Mano De Fiero”. He enjoyed playing billiards, and was a simple man who was very humble, devoted, and loved his family. He will truly be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

The Lara Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian Mass will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian Burial will follow to La Blanca Country Community Cemetery in La Blanca, TX. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
