Abundio Garza, 97, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 12, 2011his residence in Linn. He was born July 11, 1913 in Devine, Texas to Antonio Garza and Eulalia Cantu.
Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Justa Garza, brothers and brother-in-law; Enrique Chapa.
Mr. Garza worked at Santa Fe Ranch with the East Family for 50 years. He will truly be missed by all his family friends and all those whose lives he touched.
Left to cherish his memory is his son; Jose Abundio (Concepcion) Garza, daughters; Maria Luisa (Guadalupe) Garza de Gonzalez, Martha (Eusebio) Garza de Alaniz, Lucia (Juan Manuel) Garza de Martinez, Elisa (Jesus) Garza de Salinas, Enriqueta Garza, Maricruz (Raymundo) Garza de Cantu, sister; Josefina Chapa, 27- Grandchildren, 34- Great Grandchildren and 1- Great-Great Grandchild.
The Garza Family received friends Friday, May 13, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
