Maria Leonidez Ramirez

Maria Leonidez Ramirez, 65, entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Thursday, April 24, 1958 to Julian Perez Palacios and Maria del Socorro Alvarado Palacios. She is preceded in death by her father; husband of 12 years; Ramon Vicente Ramirez, brothers; Armando Perez, Mario Perez and Jorge Perez.
Maria is survived by her loving children; Susana (Felipe Gutierrez) Tena, Ventura (Erin Leah) Rios, Luis Rios and Edgar (Gabby) Rios, mother; Maria del Socorro Alvarado, sisters; Martha Perez, Laura Perez, Maricela Perez, Dominga Soloszano and Briseida Avita, brothers; Oscar Perez, Antonio Saucedo, Javier Perez, Hector Hinojosa and Rolando Hinojosa, 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and attending Guardian Angel Adult Daycare. She was a loving woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
The Ramirez Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Edgar Rios, Ventura Rios, Jr., Mark Gutierrez, Andres Vega, Artemio Avitia and Porfirio Virgen. Funeral services are under the direction of Johnny Garcia Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
