Maria Concepcion Rodriguez

Maria Concepcion "Tia Chonita" Rodriguez, 101, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Retama Manor Nursing Center in Edinburg. She was born on Tuesday, December 07, 1915 in Marion, Texas to Julian Rodriguez and Maria Louisa Ramirez. She is preceeded in death by her parents and sisters; Julia Garza, Chrispina Leos, Francisca Gonzalez, and Trinidad Luhan.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a member of the Guadalupanas for over 40 years and had a strong christian faith. She will be truly missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. She will always be known as "Tia Chonita."
Her family received friends today, Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 North Sugar Road in Pharr. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
