Gilberto "Raging Bull" Gonzalez, 69, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 10, 2019 at his residence with his loving family by his bedside. He was born on Wednesday, November 09, 1949 in Edinburg, Texas to Cristoval Gonzalez and Maria de la Luz Lozano Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Cruz Gonzalez and brother; Cristobal Gonzalez.
Gilberto is survived by his loving wife of 50 years; Teodora "Lola" Martinez Gonzalez, sons; Gilbert (Diana) Gonzalez, Cristobal (Eva) Gonzalez, daughter; Christina (Daryl) Gonzalez, grandchildren; Michael Anthony Gonzalez, Mark Anthony Gonzalez, Justin Lee Gonzalez, Sammie Danielle Gonzalez, Matthew Abraham Gonzalez, Evan Daniel Gonzalez, Darion Zachary Gonzalez and Rinoa Ieli Gonzalez, siblings; Diana C. Mayo, Belinda Gonzalez, Oscar Martin, Reynaldo Flores, Orlando Garza and Edward Martin, numerous nieces and nephews.
Gilberto lived in Edinburg all of his life and was a hard worker instilling values and morals to his children and grandchildren. He worked for LCW Trucking, BTB Trucking (Border to Border) and owning and operating Double G Trucking for many years. He enjoyed lifting weights and gambling, but his greatest joy was being with his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
His family will receive friends, today, Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Christian services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Peace with Christian burial to follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Cristobal Gonzalez, Armando Najera, Evan Gonzalez, Justin Gonzalez, Mark Gonzalez and Michael Gonzalez. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
