Alfonzo "Poncho" Hernandez, 68, entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on Thursday, July 14, 1949 in San Pablo, General Panfilo Natera, Zacatecas to Luis Hernandez and Maria Lopez Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson; James Alexander Flores.
He is survived by his loving wife; Petra M. Hernandez, son; Luis Alfonzo Hernandez, daughter; Martha Lopez, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Poncho enjoyed gardening, woodwork and leatherwork, but most of all spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and all those whose lives she touched.
His family received family today, Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m.in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Services concluded after visitation. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
